National Accounts Survey

National accounts are a system of accounts and balance sheets that provide a broad and integrated framework to describe an economy. National accounts survey mainly focuses on the collection of comparable quantitative and qualitative information on annual financial transactions and stocks held by institutional sectors of the economy. National accounts provide systematic and detailed economic data useful for economic analysis to support the development and monitoring of policy-making. It provides a framework for numerically describing and analyzing large number of economic interactions within an economy. Presently Grenada uses International Standard Industrial Classification of all Economic Activities (ISIC) Rev 3.1 for classification of GDP by economic activity. The main output of National Account surveys include the Gross Domestic product and the growth rate in the economy in real and nominal values
